The nurses were very kind to my aunt if very overworked.

There was an incredibly unprofessional doctor in this clinic, who told me lies about various procedures and told my boyfriend he should propose. It was an absolute disgrace.

Very good care and follow through. Would have preferred to lie on a stretcher/bed and read until my angiogram ,as opposed to sitting upright on a chair in close proximity to strangers.

On occassions tablets were left on the bed table with no monitoring of whether my elderly and often confused grandfather had taken them. He was left in pain for most of his stay. When he would ring the call-bell for assistance there was so little staff on duty that extremely long waits for said assistance were experienced.

It was my second stay and my last. On both occasions I have found consultant and their teams excellent but patient care after surgery or procedure is non existent. I waited 4 hrs on my 1st visit for my consultant to discharge me only I discovered he had gone on vacation since the previous day yet nurses kept telling me he'd be around soon. Nurses aloof and non caring - hadn't even seen my chart or even read it to see if pain killers were prescribed.

My 85 year old grandmother chose to self pay for her admission to the clinic after receiving very poor care and being neglected at two other hospitals. She was welcomed on arrival and seen within moments before being transferred to a warm comfortable bed. The care and attention from the Consultant and Nurses there was 100%. We can find no fault and can only say that the Galway Clinic is the reason why she is still alive.

My healthy, neat, clean 91 year old mother went for a session of radiotherapy-she now has mrsa. She had to wear a mask which was not always clean. Blood from previous sessions had congealed and was left for 24 hours...basic hygiene horribly neglected. This area is also being used for cancer patients. I am afraid I am now a carrier and cannot meet my best friend who is being treated for cancer and has a colostomy bag. Why are the staff not taking precautions? There is no evidence of cleanliness, I never saw anything being cleaned. "please wash your hands" on entry to the clinic seems to be it.

Not enough medical staff on duty after 6pm. I had to wait three hours for an IV as the house doctor was not available.

I attended the emergency room and was seen within 20 minutes, and the treatment was completed and I was leaving the Clinic within 1.5 hours. If I attended the local hospital I would have had to wait hours

After 32 hours in ICU, was discharged at 9pm, which is very taxing on a patient and family at home - odd time to discharge patients.

Though the procedure was successful, I felt totally ignored, treated with no dignity and left to my own devices throughout the night without any help from staff. Also gown and bed clothes were left blood stained for twenty four hours after operation.
