I thought the midwives were lovely and made me feel at ease and made my overall experience of having a baby a pleasant one despite how long my labour was:)

Emergency department nurses work in indescribable overcrowding and chaos. The lack of beds and delays is chronic. And wards are closed to save money!

I would like to say that while my hospital stay was good, my experience with the opd dept was great. The doctors who saw me were both excellent, the doctors being Dr.Murphy and his registrar. The nurse at the clinic Anne was bote very helpful and considerate. She took time to explain my condition and offered me a lot of useful information. Its just such a shame this clinic is only on once a week.

When I first arrived in 2005 to have baby Jack I was made very welcome for my long stay of six weeks. I knew any future children I had would definately be born there. I especially found Niamh McGarvey and Marian Peoples very understanding and lovely at the time. I found most of the nurses to be lovely, but those are two names that stand out. Also the sonagrapher Geraldine was extremely down to earth and approachable. I have been back since for baby Austin in 2007 and will have my third baby boy next week in L'Kenny general and I recommend from my experience anyone to trust their maternity care. 5 stars to all the hard working nurses and doctors. Many thanks for making sure my babies were safe and I was looked after.

The two midwives who delivered my baby boy at 1.20am 20.09.2009 had to resuscitate my boy. I will be forever grateful. My midwife, Dorothy, argued with a doctor on my behalf for me to get an epidural. Thank you, I could not have gone on without it. Marian in antenatal, I felt very low after my 5th gel didn't work. She really helped me by taking the time to talk to me. I would have walked out of the hospital if it wasn't for her. Thank you.

I found the neurology app to be excellent. The doctor Mr Murphy and his nurse Anne took a lot of time explaining the implications of my disease. It was a pleasant change to have enough time to ask all my questions to the doctor and the nurse

Geraldine in oncology - an excellent nurse in every way. Makes her patients feel at ease and makes the hospital visit much more endurable. Also Dr Duffy - a brilliant doctor who takes the time to explain every aspect of the diagnosis and treatment to the patient.
