Having had a problem with the anaesthetist in another hospital on a previous operation, the difference with the professionalism of the senior anaesthetist was incredible. He made me completely relax and distracted me and I drifted off....best sleep ever

Dr Mary E Stritch-Finnegan, General Anaesthetist, Mount Carmel Dr Stritch-Finnegan spent time with me prior to op, talking with me, examining me, listening to my concerns and took extra precautions afterwards, wanting to see me before I could be discharged (although I actually left before she could free herself from theatre to see me she had someone run a test on oxygen in the blood before they would let me out the door). She was amazing. I felt very well cared for, for which I was very grateful!
